The ARKHAM CITY spinoff series ARKHAM UNHINGED is going finally into print this April with the launch of issue #1.

arkham_unhingedThe series had already been available as weekly digital segments that could be bought at COMIXOLOGY.  I had the fortune of reading the series already and have to admit it fills up the gaps between some of the events from Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, like Robin’s introduction story, the Joker-Penguin feud, and the story on the Joker’s one arm muscle HAMMER and he’s Penguin counterpart: the Abramovici brothers.  I think the art was very good, and the experience was worth it.  I would recommend  the series for anyone who wants to stitch together the story of the games, or just want to enjoy some Joker.  Below is what to look for in the series:

Story arcs starring Joker:

Read how the animosity between Joker and Penguin started

  • “Ruffled Feathers”     Chapter 7 pt 1
  •              ”                         Chapter 8 pt 2
  •              ”                         Chapter 9 pt 3

Read how Joker is involved with the Amodovici brothers and creates his muscle man…Hammer

  • “Separation Anxiety” Chapter 11 pt 1
  •              ”                         Chapter 12 pt 2
  •              ”                         Chapter 12 pt 3

The sewers are not safe especially for 4 of Joker’s thugs.

  • “Crocodile Tears”        Chapter 20 pt 1

Story arcs starring Harley:

Read how the Sirens knew betrayal, Harley is unleashed and things change forever

  • Gotham City Sirens” Chapter 17 pt 1
  •                     ”                Chapter 18 pt 2
  •                     ”                Chapter 19 pt 3

One Response to “ARKHAM UNHINGED goes into Print”

  1. Really, who doesn’t want to enjoy them some Joker? This might need to be something for me to pick up. I’m a huge fan of the Arkham games (GOTTA love the delicious J/Bat interactions, as well as how they actually made Scarecrow scary again and pretty much rewrote the Riddler as a complete Jigsaw-like badass) and it’s always nice to see a more recent (Good!) Joker tale.
