Yes, Jokerholics.

DC Direct has announced the release of yet another Harley Quinn Action Figure in 2015 as part of the NEW 52 line.  This figure is based on Harley Quinn’s comic series and features her with gun  and mallet on hand over a pair of roller skates.  This figure is to be on the 6.75 inches tall range.  Here is a preview:

Following my previous post…Play Arts is also releasing a companion variant Harley Quinn Figure next year to follow the incredible DC Variant Joker figure. (I reported this before. see HERE)  I am not a big fan of Harley Quinn but DC sometimes nails it with the design of their figures and this one is one of those.  She is beautifully extravagant (like her psychotic puddin’) and the combination of Blue, Red, White and Black just add a certain beauty to her outfit.  Just like Joker she looks very ANIME and that is a nice touch.I think its a better outfit than the current 52 counterpart  I will probably get her too.

Expect the release of this figure next year and the price tag close to the $100.  In the meantime…enjoy this little preview

Just got my Previews this month and to my surprise I see my dream come true… (I had mentioned this in a post about a similar statue, but a private commission.  See post HERE).

A Joker and Harley Quinn statue based on the Alex Ross design from the Harley Quinn graphic novel….AWESOOOOME!.  It is ready to order from your local comic book shop or toy stores online (ENTERTAINMENT EARTH, BIG BAD TOY STORY, and others).  Prices range between $199.99 and $249.99.  Since it is limited to 5200 I already put my order.  Here is a pic of what it will look like…

Also from PLAY ARTS comes a new line of figures called DC VARIANTS and basically they are re-imagining of some of DC’s heroes and villains.  In this series, with a release date to be determined, Joker and Harley Quinn steal the show with this stylized version of their DC Counterparts.  To me they look a little ANIME…don’t you think? (Thanks to TOYARK for the pictures)

New52HQBust01DC Collectibles has announced a new HARLEY QUINN Bust based on her NEW 52 look to be released in September 2014.  Normally I don’t give much for her new look and would have skipped the idea of buying it ( I’m a Joker collector anyways)  but this one is designed by JIM LEE!!! It is impossible to pass this one this time with the other busts in the series showing such dynamism and quality.  So yes, I’m, sold into getting her.  Check this out…

ArkhamKnightTrailerHQDC and ROCKSTEADY, the game studio that brought you the first 2  installments of the Arkham City franchise are now concluding the series  with their latest game ARKHAM KNIGHT to be released this year.  I watched the trailer and liked what I saw.  It seems we have a plethora oF familiar faces trying to take over the prison island (Two-Face, Penguin, Scarecrow and Harley Quinn)  and hopefully new and intriguing neww characters to face in combat.

I’m really impressed by the graphics and the realism of the environment.   Like always,  Batman moves are killer, hope they can keep the same awesome feeling during gameplay (when the quality goes down in favor of speed)  I personally like the redesigning of the characters, including Bats new uniform, but most I like the redesign of Harley Quinn where you’ll see a very sexy woman, definitely much improved than the other three installments that looked a little more cartoony. Here REALISM is the CLUE…

The game is scheduled to be release later this year for the PS4, XBox One and PC platforms.

Makes me wonder…why has nobody come up with a CG Batman movie with this quality? They can really get wonders done in animation, and just with the right voices…   Anyways, here is the trailer of the new game…enjoy!

jokerrising-copyI just found this film on YouTube and it surprised me the quality of the story for a Joker fanfilm.  Though I personally imagine my own version of Joker’s origin before the TDK movie (and somewhat different to this), have to say that this is an original idea  brought to the screen  in a very professional way.  Is a fanfilm, not Hollywood, but definitely quality fanfilming and decent acting. It’s good not seeing a copy-cat Ledger on the screen and the underlying love story is a nice touch. Kudos to the writer, director and the actors for a job well done. Definitely worth sharing with Jokerdom…

Here comes a very well accomplished realistic portrait of Joker’s henchwoman HARLEY QUINN as it  was concieved and executed by artist ADMIRA WIJAYA.  The version have ben based in Harley’s appearance in Arkham City game last year.   I bow to Admira’s talent.  Very nice pic and realism is beyond description. Hope you all Jokerholics and Harleyholics like it.

Nice little article  preparing us on what to expect from HARLEY QUINN  when she stars in villain’s month DETECTIVE COMICS #23.2:

Following the explosive events of FOREVER EVIL #1, the Suicide Squad has disbanded. No longer a member of a team, Harley Quinn finds herself free for the first time without any ties to a particular group. On her quest for self-discovery, she returns to Gotham City – but it’s not the same place it was before she left it. So naturally, Harley has a little scheme to shake things up. But that’s all I’ll say about that for now …While Harley’s origin was told in the pages of SUICIDE SQUAD, there’s an untold chapter that will be revealed for the first time in this unique one-shot. You may think you know the whole story of her transition into a super-villain, but when you read the very first meeting between her and The Joker, you’ll see a whole different side of Harley than you’re used to. And for the diehard Harley Quinn fans out there, keep your eyes peeled for a few Easter eggs scattered throughout the issue – like a reference to THE BATMAN ADVENTURES: MAD LOVE (Harley’s first appearance in comics) and a nod to actress Arleen Sorkin, who voiced Harley on the television show, Batman: The Animated Series.
